Meet Keyshawn, Assistant Director of FIYAH for ages 18 – 21 and the grandson of the Founding Director. He carries on the legacy of service and empowerment instilled in him from a young age. His story is of deep-rooted commitment, resilience, and a passion for giving back to his community. From the moment Keyshawn graduated high school, he knew he wanted to make a difference in the lives of others, particularly those who were marginalized or facing systemic barriers. Inspired by the values imparted by his grandmother, he set out on a path of service, driven by a burning desire to uplift his community.
Keyshawn’s commitment to giving back has been unwavering. He has dedicated countless hours to volunteering, organizing community events, and advocating for social justice causes. His genuine empathy and ability to connect with individuals from all walks of life have allowed him to understand the unique challenges faced by marginalized communities and young adults seeking support. His genuine care and concern mark Keyshawn's leadership within FIYAH for the well-being of others. Through his inclusive approach, Keyshawn encourages collaboration, fosters a sense of belonging, and cultivates an environment where everyone’s unique perspectives are valued. He strives to ignite hope, inspire resilience, and effect positive change within the lives of young adults by inspiring a new generation of changemakers to create a more equitable and inclusive world.
