Meet Steph-K, Director of FIYAH and daughter of the Founding Director of New Life Community Outreach. She is a testament to the passing of the torch from one generation to the next. The impact she has on her six children is truly inspiring. Steph-K’s role as a mother and mentor to her young adult children is influential within the family and extends to their friends. The values, wisdom, and a sense of purpose instilled in her have enabled her to become a source of inspiration and support to her own children and their peers. It is a ripple effect of love, guidance, and positive influence that can transcend generations. She encountered setbacks and obstacles that would have discouraged many. However, she saw these difficulties as opportunities for growth and transformation. Through each trial, she developed a deep well of inner strength and a fierce determination to create a better future for herself and others.

From a young age, she faced difficult circumstances that seemed insurmountable. Meet Dominique, Assistant Director of FIYAH. She has been a mentee of the Founding Director of New Life Community Outreach and has embraced her leadership role, using her experiences as a catalyst for change and empowerment. Dominique’s story is one of resilience, strength, and determination. She has endured significant challenges and emerged with infectious joy, unwavering hope, and genuine empathy, which made her an inspiration for other young adults. As Dominique blossomed, she realized that her journey was about her personal growth and uplifting others who had experienced similar struggles. Her authenticity and resilience resonate with other young adults, drawing them towards her warmth and positive energy.
Dominique’s journey has been marked by adversity, but her spirit remains unbreakable. From a young age, she faced difficult circumstances and overcame numerous obstacles that tested her resilience. Meet Keyshawn, Assistant Director of FIYAH for ages 18 – 21 and the grandson of the Founding Director. He carries on the legacy of service and empowerment instilled in him from a young age. His story is of deep-rooted commitment, resilience, and a passion for giving back to his community. From the moment Keyshawn graduated high school, he knew he wanted to make a difference in the lives of others, particularly those who were marginalized or facing systemic barriers. Inspired by the values imparted by his grandmother, he set out on a path of service, driven by a burning desire to uplift his community.
Keyshawn’s commitment to giving back has been unwavering. He has dedicated countless hours to volunteering, organizing community events, and advocating for social justice causes. His genuine empathy and ability to connect with individuals from all walks of life have allowed him to understand the unique challenges faced by marginalized communities and young adults seeking support. His genuine care and concern mark Keyshawn's leadership within FIYAH for the well-being of others. Through his inclusive approach, Keyshawn encourages collaboration, fosters a sense of belonging, and cultivates an environment where everyone’s unique perspectives are valued. He strives to ignite hope, inspire resilience, and effect positive change within the lives of young adults by inspiring a new generation of changemakers to create a more equitable and inclusive world.
